According to a Report by Planning Commission ,India faces a shortage of about 10 Lacs Nurses and a large Number of Paramedical Staff. As per reports , an Ideal Nurse- patients ratio is 1:6 but currently ratio Is 1:10 In the General Ward and 1: 60 in other patients. In this context Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) advice to the Government of India that a public-private partnership (PPP) model can bridge this Gap. The Severity of the issue can be taken as great opportunity for aspirants of Paramedical Courses.
